Lover’s Lane Bridge Reopens after Inspection
Published on June 27, 2024
Augusta, MT – Lewis and Clark County has reopened a bridge on Lover’s Lane in Augusta, Montana after an inspection determined that damage caused by a tractor-trailer was cosmetic and not structural. On June 13, 2024, the bridge was damaged when a tractor-trailer that exceeded the height limit struck the top of the bridge. The County closed the bridge over safety concerns until an inspection could be completed. The Lover’s Lane bridge remains weight-restricted to 6-tons.
