Helena, MT – Lewis and Clark County is embarking on a journey to chart its future through the 2024 Growth Policy Update. We need your feedback to ensure the Growth Policy represents the diverse needs of communities across the County. If you'd like to help and have your voice be heard, visit LCCgrowthpolicyupdate.com to explore and complete the interactive map and survey. Comments will be accepted through June 30, 2024.

Over the past two decades, the County has experienced significant growth, with a population increase of 15,000 people and a rise in home values by 135%. Now, residents can use their voice to guide the growth and development of the County through this planning process.

“The Growth Policy is a key guiding document for how Lewis and Clark County will grow and develop,” Lewis and Clark County Commissioner Andy Hunthausen said. “As we work our way through the update process, it is an opportune time for all citizens to offer their thoughts on the newest iteration of this important document.”

Partnering with planning and design firm SE Group, Lewis and Clark County is updating the Growth Policy, last comprehensively revised in 2004. The Growth Policy serves as a guide for future decisions related to land use, ensuring public health, safety, convenience, and welfare. The public can learn more about the project by visiting the project website at LCCgrowthpolicyupdate.com.
