Lewis and Clark County is soliciting competitive bids from interested parties for the purchase of bulk magnesium chloride delivered to and off-loaded into our bulk holding facility located at 3402 Cooney Drive in Helena, Montana.
All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file at the Lewis and Clark County Public Works Office, 3402 Cooney Drive, Helena, MT 59602. Copies of the contract documents used for preparing a bid may be obtained by going to the Related Information section of this webpage or by contacting Jesse Whitford at jwhitford@lccountymt.gov. Contractors are encouraged to check for any addenda issued at this page prior to submitting a bid.
Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond payable to Lewis and Clark County in an amount not less than ten percent of the total amount of the bid.
Bids will be considered based on the most responsible bid submitted and the following criteria: purchase price, product availability, and specifications.
Sealed bids must be received at the Office of the Board of County Commissioners, Room 345, City-County Building, 316 N. Park Avenue, Helena, MT 59623 no later than 4:00 p.m. local time on June 3, 2024. The envelope containing the sealed bid will be labeled with the bidder’s name, address, and “Mag Supply Bid Enclosed”.
Bids will be opened and read aloud at the public meeting of the County Commissioners on June 4, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. local time in Room 330 of the City-County Building, 316 N. Park Avenue, Helena, MT.
A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project. Questions may be submitted to the Point of Contact, Jesse Whitford, at jwhitford@lccountymt.gov. Questions are due by May 29, 2024 and responses will be posted to this webpage no later than May 31, 2024.
Lewis and Clark County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities or to accept any bid deemed to be for the public good.
