At one time, there were as many as 45 school districts in Lewis & Clark County. Listed below is the history concerning district consolidation, abandonment, attachment and/or annexation. In 2003, there are 8 Active School Districts: Helena District #1, Canyon Creek (Trinity) #4, East Helena #9, Wolf Creek #13, Auchard Creek #27, Lincoln #38, and Augusta #45.
